Tulsi Gabbard is a favorite among libertarians not simply because she’s anti-war, though that reason alone should suffice, but she is also an opponent of the evil that lurks in her party, the same evil that’s been given a voice with no expectation of an admission of guilt.

Yet the general population rarely puts a voice into context: who made this person who they are? What is their record? Are they laudable?

Tulsi, in an act of heroism, put Kamala Harris on the spot:

“She put over 1500 people in jail for marijuana violations, and then laughed about it when she was asked if she smoked marijuana.”

“She blocked evidence that would’ve freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so.”

“She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California.”

“She fought to keep the cash bail system in place that impacts poor people in the worst kind of way.”

Harris’s response, which was as politically tongue-in-cheek as you’d expect, amounted to her arguing that the problems mentioned—the ones she exacerbated—are the exact issues that she’s trying to tackle and solve. The audience wasn’t buying it. Watch how it all unfolded here.
